A guide for researchers

No two pieces of research are the same, nor should they be! You might be studying the same topic area using the same target audience as another, but using a different research method can result in completely different data and subsequent insights. Successful research is all in its methodology – and its lovely participants of course.

Qualitative, quantitative and ethnographic research is not as simple as ‘interviews, surveys and observation’ – there are so many methods to choose from and not all of them are used even half as much as they should be. That’s why we’ve pulled together an A – Z of research methods guide to showcase all the creative and obscure research methods that are often overlooked, such as vignettes, drawing, and even games! There are also a few handy research tips to support in the delivery of any project (we may have struggled with a few letters).

This guide is not only for those who like traditional methods, but also for those who want to find out more about creative research methods or user experience (UX) research (if this is you, we also have a lovely UX and UI service page for you here).
