More +Co-created with young people across Wales, this informative animated film explains the process of getting vaccinated in schools to protect against Meningitis and Septicaemia
Making the MenACWY vaccination process sound simple and safe.
Working with Public Health Wales, we produced a short and fun animation co-created with young people across Wales to guide us on how best to convey the animation's message in an effective and accessible way.
Produced in both English and Welsh languages, the animation is a useful resource in explaining the effects of Meningitis and Septicaemia to young people and the process of getting vaccinated against the diseases with the MenACWY vaccine, providing long-term protection for themselves, friends and their families.
Created in the same colourful and lively visual style as the other animated films we have produced with Public Health Wales, this film in particular presents the information within a slice-of-life style narrative as the viewer follows a boy into school to their vaccination appointment whilst he hears about the experience of an older friend who already received their vaccination. Everyday equipment found in schools like whiteboards and bulletin boards are used to convey the info in visually unique ways.
Whilst still remaining medically accurate, the script was written to sound more like a conversation between friends with efforts made to have key information worded more casually and integrated seamlessly into their chat, all while ensuring the most important details are included.
