The mission

Promoting life-saving training. Supporting life-saving work. 

LIVES is a Lincolnshire-based charity delivering vital emergency response and first aid training. With a powerful mission to save lives across the county, LIVES called on Social Change to support their marketing and communications. We were brought in to increase awareness of their training offer, strengthen customer journeys and support one of their most important annual fundraising campaigns, No Night Is Silent.

What we did

Creative campaigns, behavioural insight and storytelling. 

We worked closely with the team to develop a creative marketing campaign promoting LIVES’ first aid and emergency response training to both the public and professionals. This included the development of an animated explainer video showcasing the impact of the training, using emotional storytelling to engage the audience. Our team also helped to map out and improve customer journeys, ensuring smoother workflows, clearer messaging, and more targeted outreach to different audience segments.

For No Night Is Silent, LIVES’ winter appeal, we created a full suite of assets to support this crucial campaign. This included direct mail packs with emotive storytelling at their core: letters, postcards, flyers, a Direct Debit form and more. Designed to increase regular donations, this campaign highlighted real stories of emergency response at Christmas and gave supporters the chance to give the gifts of knowledge, hope and kindness through their donations. 

Alongside creative delivery, we reviewed and improved LIVES’ marketing workflows, helping the charity better track customer journeys, streamline data capture and improve the effectiveness of their outreach.

From boosting the visibility of training courses to supporting one of the charity’s most emotive and successful fundraising campaigns of the year, our work with LIVES spanned storytelling, systems thinking and creative delivery. 

Our behavioural approach helped us shape content that resonates, with emotion, empathy and evidence all playing a part. By improving the internal structures and external communications, we’ve helped LIVES continue their mission to train more people, respond faster and save more lives.
