Similar to Social Change UK’s ethos, the TEDxBrayfordPool programme is designed to help communities, organisations and individuals spark conversation and connection, offering the perfect opportunity to generate ideas and drive positive change.
Social Change UK has created many successful social purpose-driven campaigns in recent years, and this new partnership allows us to continue to collaborate with our local community and fellow businesses to build a better future. Through engaging and thought-provoking content, we want to connect people and deliver positive change alongside our partners at TEDxBrayfordPool.
Our changemakers attended the first of three TEDxBrayfordPoolSalon sessions last month based on the topic: ‘The Way We Work’, forming part of the wider TEDxBrayfordPool programme. Hosted at Mosiac digital hub in Lincoln city centre, the salon series started with panellists watching a TED Talk video before moving onto an engaging informal discussion, focused on cultivating open culture and creating greater equity in the workplace.
The event featured local industry leaders including Sue Liburd MBE (Human Capital), Simon Akers (Innovator and Strategy Consultant, Founder of Archmon), Jo Tolley (International Disability Consultant), Owen Lewis, (Employability Leader at Lincoln City Foundation), as well as Social Change UK’s Business Manager, Andy Senyszyn.
Andy said: “The TEDxBrayfordPool event held at Mosiac was a fantastic opportunity to connect with business leaders in our area. The guests on the panel each brought their own personal insights and experiences to the collective melting pot, exposing each other and the assembled audience to new and different ways of thinking around being sustainable, inclusive and equitable businesses, in this ever-changing world of work. It was great fun sharing stories and ideas with this enthusiastic community and I look forward to attending future events.”
Kelly Evans, Chief Executive of Social Change UK said: “We’re thrilled to be partnered with TEDxBrayfordPool, and to be part of the greater conversation as we help shape the ideas of the future. Through our content and research, we want to connect people and deliver positive change, and through our partnership with TEDxBrayfordPool we hope to do just that.”
