On Monday 19th October 2015 Social Change UK will host the first ever 'Secrets of Sustainable Business' conference in partnership with the University of Lincoln. Jo Fairley of Green and Blacks will talk about her journey in chocolate and why doing good is good for business. Josh Littlejohn, a social entrepreneur from Scotland is making the trip down to Lincolnshire to tell us how he went from cafe to food chain and helped solve a growing crisis in Glasgow and Edinburgh - homelessness.
The conference will kick start with a keynote from Salt Magazine published Steve Vasconcellos- Sharpe who founded the magazine to inspire businesses to think beyond profit. Jon Denton from the Key Fund and Michelle Livingston from Real Partners and Social Enterprise UK will deliver sessions on innovation and funding for good products. Simon Leadbetter of Green and Blue Tomorrow will be talking investment - the sustainable kind and building a business case for ethical investment.
Our very own Kelly Evans, Director here at Social Change UK will open with broadcaster and journalist Glenn Le Santo and she will deliver a workshop on ethical branding. The day will finish with a keynote from Martin Baxter from the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) who will deliver a passionate speech on 'preparing for the storm'.
