The Brief

The Royal Borough of Greenwich asked us to help them encourage public facing staff in Greenwich to take part in their 'Make Every Opportunity Count' programme - set up to promote the opportunities staff have to affect change in people with their everyday conversations and interactions with the public.

The 'Make Every Opportunity Count' programme in Greenwich encourages all public facing staff in Greenwich to carry out ‘mini interventions’ with the aim of improving outcomes for local people. For example, the act of pointing people in the right direction for help and support on a range of issues including mental health, smoking, unemployment, housing and financial advice can impact positively on people and the borough.

The Brand

We worked closely with the Greenwich team to develop the 'Make Every Opportunity Count' (MEOC) brand and identity which uses a bold typeface and a bright colour palette. We also created an animated video, demonstrating what MEOC is. The animation uses a fun and friendly characters, and each character was designed to represent the diverse population in Greenwich. The overall look and feel is personal and friendly and local feedback has been positive.

This brand refresh has also been adopted within the new online training portal for staff. We created a mix of digital and print materials to support the programme including flyers, posters, roller banners and promotional items.

The Video

The animation video uses over 40 original character models to reflect the diverse population in Greenwich. Professional voice-over artists and complex animations were used throughout. The video has been described as eye-catching, informative and engaging.
