The Challenge

To understand the barriers in the food industry in adapting to extreme weather events and implement climate change strategies.

We undertook extensive research and engaged with large scale food businesses in England to discover the barriers and enablers to climate change adaptation.

What we did

We carried out qualitative research with companies such as Tesco, Warburton's, McVities, Greggs and Aldi.

A full report, behavioural analysis and recommendations were delivered to the Government and we used behavioural science to develop messages that will encourage businesses to act. We also created a segmentation model that the government are currently using to engage different industry sectors.
