Design Council: Healthy Placemaking Report
This research from Design Council and Social Change UK notes that healthy placemaking sits on the periphery of UK housing, public health and placemaking policy. It continues to be seen as a cost to local development rather than an investment, and when considered alongside the plethora of local planning priorities and frameworks it often gets overlooked. We explore all the barriers to healthy placemaking and what can be done to overcome these barriers.

Can some of society's biggest issues be solved by designing and creating healthy places to live and work? We think so, which is why we teamed up with Design Council to explore why, despite the evidence, we continue to design and build unhealthy places.
